Sky Harbor Airport opened in 1952 with terminal 1 handling 296,000 passengers. Terminals 2, 3 and 4 were opened in '62, '79 and '90. Terminal 1 was demolished in 1990 and the terminals were never renumbered. Now in 2016, Sky Harbor is undergoing updating once again.
